Autism North East - Third Party Information
As part of a neurodevelopmental assessment, we may gather information from people who know the individual well, such as parents, carers, partners, teachers or other professionals. This helps us build a fuller picture of the person’s development, strengths and areas of difficulty across different settings and stages of life.
Neurodevelopmental differences can present differently depending on the environment, and information from others can help us understand patterns that may not be immediately apparent during the assessment. Where appropriate and with consent, this additional information helps us ensure that our assessment is balanced, thorough and based on a range of perspectives, rather than relying solely on one person’s experience.
