Understanding ADHD
ADHD is a Neurodevelopmental difference related to attention, activity levels and impulsivity. It affects life at home and at work and impacts learning, organisation, relationships and mental/emotional health.

The three types of ADHD are:

1. Predominantly Inattentive
2. Predominantly Hyperactive/Impulsive
3. Combined Type

Many people with ADHD have strengths such as energy, curiosity, creativity and the ability to think in innovative ways.

​​ADHD can often exist alongside other Neurodevelopmental or Mental Health differences, which is why a careful and comprehensive assessment is so important.
Adult ADHD Assessment Process
​​​We provide in-depth, face-to-face Multi-Disciplinary assessments that allow us to explore a person's history, current experiences and overlapping needs in depth to provide a clear diagnosis and support plan. ​
​
Understanding the specific needs of each individual is crucial in developing personalised strategies, supports and skills, as well as considering whether medication might be appropriate.
Following our assessments we link directly with our prescribing partners for medication where needed.​​​
